IMO for modern furniture I go Italian the cinstruction is awesome and the choice of fabrics is often better since they make furniture to last more than a few years . Where are you planning to put this / IMO velvet no matter what they call it is not a good choice in a space used all the time for watching TVMohair if it is real is itchy at best . I like fabric sofas to have removeable cushion covers and also never a single cushion for the seat since the bum prints appear very quickly where people sit and that is rarely in the middle .

i just ordered a varick for a formal seating recently in a mohair! we've owned a dune sectional from maiden home for ~2 years now and its held up very well imo and it gets daily use. found the company as we searched high and low for a high quality domestic made slip cover that didnt look incredibly traditional. maiden home was the only one we could find under $10k.
