Any advantages between the 272 vs 180 for this region?

Unless the home is set up for passive solar, no real reason to go with the higher than 0.72 SHGC in my opinion. The 2 coat Low-e will provide a better U-Factor than the 180 coating as well.

LoE 272 is what you should get. It usually comes standard with the windows in any case. I would be spending more time instead on the brand of windows and finding a good installer.

I went with InLine Fiberglass windows out of Toronto, they offer all 3 packages at no additional cost, also found a installer based on a recommendation from another window company. It’s a older home also changing roof and updating the HVAC to use heat pumps with propane furnace as backup, so between that and the windows I can stop paying a fortune for propane.

I forgot to ask what is the VT like on the 272?

Glass-only VT of 180 in an IG is 80%, VT of 272 is 72%, and VT of 366 is 66%. Notice the pattern?

Listed VT for the entire window will be less than that because VT is calculated using the full frame size and not just glass measurement.

Great advice above from an authority on the subject. 272 is the "catch all" for your climate IMO, where the 180 and 366 would only have situational application.
