How about a sofa with a chaise end to go along wall where blue chair is now and a chair angled towards what I assume is the TV at the end where the white table is now? I think a larger rug would work better also. Look at furniture that is covered in indoor Sunbrella fabric

You need a sectional and maybe a chair also or possibly a dog bed

I like the flexibility of sofas and chairs.

If you have a family of sofa snoozers, the sectional will give you more room to stretch out.

your dog is gorgeous!!! i have 2 great danes, i'd kill to have enough room for a sectional. i have 2 regular sofas and it's still not enough room because they both want to be wherever i am! lol

I have a Pyr too and they are lovely dogs but hairy . I never reccommned sectionals and the chaise ones are even worse A nice sofa and either one or two chairs are IMO always a better choice . BTW leather is also a nice choice for hairy dogs . We have the Pyr and 2 golden crosses all I have is dog hair and at least with leather most of it drops to the floor so easier to vacuum just the floor. I keep their claws trimmed and add a blanket that I just wash weekly and remove when we have guests . The things we do for pets but I love them anyway.

Suggest going on line to create a floor plan to scale; include structural components and to scale furniture. I think either of the layouts below would work and decide which would suit your family’s needs. If going with sectional, skip a lounge section so you get additional seating and see if a chair is possible. Leather is one choice (if happy with yours), but should be protected. Other suggestions:

Thought your dog might gravitate to a cozy bed and/or to protect your couch.
