Master Plumber shower install

We hired a Master Plumber which I understand is an official title for a plumber with many years experience. He specifically called out shower pan install and here are the results. We called out the poor install and how we would tile with this mess and he claims the work was done properly and to simply use a heat gun to smooth it out
