Hi all,

I am currently about to remodel my new house's kitchen and I have plans to open the space up by tearing down some walls and moving the layout a bit.

This is the current layout. Let's say north is up, west is left, etc.

As you can see, the wall in the center of the picture (east side of the kitchen) cuts the flow of the area a bit IMO. There is a small pantry at the north end of it, a small counter space in the center and the fridge on the southern end.

So far, this is what I've come up with:

- Blue rectangle is the new island

- blue square is new placement for fridge

- green rectangle is new walk in pantry with the entrance flush with the cabinets.

- yellow is new layout of the counters

- red is the current island removed

Can anyone perhaps think of a more appealing way to do this? I worry that the pantry will make the northern room feel too cramped. Any and all help is appreciated, thank you!
