I agree the rug is not complementary and before starting a search for a new one, my advice is to figure out how you want room to feel in general. Don’t worry about trying to work with foyer’s tile, consider it as a neutral.

Look for inspiration and even create mood boards, so when accessorizing there is a harmonized/complementary look. I’d use a calm rug and let the accessories create the wow factor.

I don’t think the two colors on wall make a difference; accessory combinations help create a coordinated space. If unsure (and it will be easier to accessorize), go with a modern, simple textured rug that works well with the paint color.

Suggest a different rug for dining room, but should be complementary style wise; perhaps with more pattern.

Hi praveena- you’ve gotten some good suggestions. I am speaking only to your last post with your rug choices. While I think the rugs are pretty, I’ve never liked jute or some of these natural fiber rugs under my feet. They just don’t seem cozy; rather rough and bumpy. Maybe it’s just me but I like my rugs soft. Even my 100% wool oriental style rug has some pile and some give. Good luck to you!

Like all 3 choices, but hard to tell which would work the best. I‘m a fan of natural fibre rugs and have in a few rooms. Compared to other rugs, they are not as soft, but there are texture differences, so you may want to compare the 3 styles if that’s a concern.
