Repair Engineered Hardwood Floors

Any input on whether I can repair the flooring in the attached pics by doing some light sanding and finishing with the closest matching poly I can find? We have one of those markers that does a decent job of hiding minor scratches, but these areas have more significant damage. The manufacturer doesn't seem to produce this flooring anymore, so replacing individual boards isn't an option. We're just trying to see if we can get a little more life out of the current floors.

Reminds me of my floors. The only way to fix that I found is to fully sand and refinish. Probably impossible with a thin veneer, bevels and handscraping. Also probably has an aluminum oxide coating. I’m ripping mine out and replacing with something lighter in color and a less permanent finish.

Maybe there's a wood filler or touch up that can hide some of those scratches, but if you sand it's going to change that patch dramatically - and it will stand out worse than the scratches.

I think your choice is live with it, replace the entire floor, or sand the entire floor down and restain (and you'll take out all that texture from the hand scrapping etc.)
