Temporary Housing for Family

Anyone have resources for finding your family (mom, dad, 3 kids, dog) an option for housing for 4-6 months while house is being built? If we could find some possible resources and/or personal stories and guidance, we would feel a lot better taking the plunge and pulling the trigger on moving forward with the build.

My builder promised "4-6 months," it was actually 2 years.

I have had clients live on site in a trailer, but many of my clients build in a more rural setting, which may not be an alternative for your situation.

When we were to build our last house we were going to rent in a 2 bedroom townhouse rental complex. They did month to month leases. We ended up at my dad's house at his insistent. It was better for the kids. We built our own house . It took 9 months.
