We are in the process of finishing up our new house and have run into a dilemma with the dining room ceiling. The trim that was supposed to go up won't work since there are heat ducts in the way so we need to come up with something else. The builder suggested just adding a medallion to the ceiling rather than trim work but I am having issues finding one I like. The room is 13'4"w x 15'6" l and I don't know what size medallion would look the best. The house is a transitional type style. I was looking at possibly adding the domed style one from the Amazon link or the Naples one from the Houzz link, but I don't have a clue what would look good in the room. The two pictures are the ceiling trim that's going away and the (ugly) light that will be there for awhile until we replace it. Any suggestions?
