Hallway stairways

Hello. ive been struggling with picking different kind of taupe colors for my hallway (stairway) every time i pick a comor it turns out to he so dark on my walls. i have a light blue living room that is and open space woth entryway. do i need a specific wall decor to make it work? ove been thrkiugh so many laint samples.

Why are you looking at those colors with blue ? What color is the blue like from what company and the name of the blue. Please lower that TV down to the chair rail no stuff on the cabinet.

I would continue the blue into the stairway and hallway.

Pick a taupe that is the same tone/intensity as the blue. For instance if the blue is the third colour on a paint strip then pick the taupe that is the third on the paint strip. Same saturation in colour, same tone, same intensity. The taupe is too dark by at least 2 shades from what I can see.
