. there are many greens. You can take liberty and not be super matchy with green as its a natural easy color. I like these greens . there are many others.

It may not go with the wall color, but I don't think there's a lot to be gained from worrying about that if you intend to paint the walls soon anyway. Since the countertop is staying it's more important to do something that goes with it. Why don't you order some samples from Samplize of different shades of green and see how it goes?

Yes true!! I dip have tons of samples.. it has been hard since it’s either to green or too white..

It may be difficult to find a green that will work with both the counter (what we can see of it, it appears to be a warm tone) and the grayish wood walls, which are cool tones and the floor, which is warm and the current wall color (warm). I would try to find a color for the cabinets that might be found in both the counter and wood walls, if there is one. It might be a creamier white, but I can't tell if there are any of those tones in your wood. Can you take a close up pic of your counter? Is the hallway gray? Is that staying? Another consideration for any color you choose.

Is your countertop Fantasy brown? that stone is cooler shades of grays/blues/gray/greens.

I don't think the wall color AND the reclaimed wood accents is going to look good with the green. How long before you can paint those walls? can you time it so the walls/cabs are within a month or two ?

who is painting the cabs? I ask because those center panels appear to be in rough shape. Painting wood and having it last is tricky, expecially on 30+ year old cabinets. wood expands and contracts and w/the shape it's in, might not hold up too well.

I would suggest getting your cabs refaced and then painted (I had it done w/mine). You don't have many to replace so it shouldn't be that much more. maybe 1K More? depends who is painting.

All of those doors need to be sanded very well, primed, sanded again. and for the price that it costs, reusing the dated style door fronts isn't the best use of money. save if you have to for a bit more to get new doors. contact a local carpenter or kitchen cabinet painters (do NOT use big box stores for this, it will cost a fortune)

You would be better off painting the cabs one of these lighter tones, (I'd paint the pantry door one of the darker gray greens )

Paint your wall around your your pantry in one of these light gray-green colors. you'll get a better idea

soft sage for the other walls. Or, do a nice warmer white color.

Thank you very much!! I was looking at that comfort Gray. Painting my cabinets is to stretch it out until we gut our kitchen ,In 3 -4 years. I just need to refresh my kitchen.. so dark.. I won’t be able to wsit 3-4 years .thank you for your Input.. love your kitchen.

ah, ok. please make sure to sand those center panels very well. 100,150, 220, 320. Then prime w/Zinsser oil based primer (I use the spray can because it's so much easier and goes on thinner) when dry, get a sanding block, fine grit, sand the primer lightly until it feels super smooth on your fingers. wipe off all dust. Now paint. I'd use a cabinet paint, not a regular latex paint.

if you're going to do new hardware, fill those holes FIRST before you sand. Get some 6" handles this time. the doors are tall. no knobs

all that paint will have to be stripped, or sanded off if you want the new paint to adhere and look good. I can't stress the prep portion enough. and sanding. and priming.

I played with the color Beth suggested SW Create.

Another color you might try a sample of is SW Filmy Green. It looks so similar to me, I can barely tell the difference between the two mockups. But you know how colors can change and look completely different at home.

I am in the same boat as you. I am contemplating painting my own white kitchen cabinets a similar grey green.

Btw, I love your reclaimed wood peninsula and wall! I want to do that exact thing in my rustic cabin we are remoldeling soon for my son. I don’t want to hijack your thead, but I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind telling me where you purchased yours?

Oh my gosh thank you so much!! It gives me a better idea how it will look. I was trying to figure it out to see. Thank you for the compliment. We got our reclaimed wood from a guy I. Utah where I live, he did that for a living breaking down old barn.

Well!! So bummed! Yea got a sample of the comfort gray.. it’s way to green😭😭 so back to drawing board. I got a sample of icy avalanche.. it’s definitely brighter.. not too much heavy green just more a little undertone. I will wait till Tomorow to see is during day light

and pillars] here is a smaller kitchen but w texture and drama and the simplified approach to cabinets works. its not a downgrade to get the appropirate cream or off white.
