I see people doing the white door on dark trim more often. I am more of a white trim with dark door kind of person. Take some white craft paper and tape it to the most view door for a day or two.

instead of replacing those doors, just make them into panel doors. (nothing is going to fit better in that doorway than the original door. this is much cheaper option. and putting on those hollow core cheap looking fiberboard doors is even worse!!)

after you paint the doors, decide how it looks w/the wood trim. you can choose to paint it later if you like.

For the bathroom, hard to say w/o seeing it. is a pocket door doable? barn doors don't off much privacy

white paneled doors with a stained trim is very common, everywhere. and visa versa.

I'd rethink the barn door, they are just a decorative cover, they don't seal, as in close for sound or air flow. Could you just change the existing door to swing out?

I will have to explore that as an option.Not sure if we can do a pocket door as it would most likely involve taking the whole wall apart but I can certainly ask the fellow who is doing the work.I was skeptic all about the barb door so I glad I have asked for advice.Thank you both for your ideas.I have lots to think about now😀

No to barn door on a bathroom. There is always a gap at the sides of barn doors. I wouldnt use a bathroom with a barn door.
