Marigolds, Snapdragons and Aphids?

Hi Everyone, I hope this is ok to post here. I just bought half bloomed snapdragons yesterday from the store for the hummingbirds in the area. I live in a climate to where it's the optimal time to have them. These are potted and will be container plants outside on the porch.

I previously had petunias in other pots and they bloomed fine but the aphids were a nightmare. Neem oil, while effective was really too harsh for them in the pots.

I am hoping for a more natural alternative and so I was thinking maybe I can plant the marigolds in with the snapdragons due to them being an aphid repellent.

Is that something that works well with the snapdragons and to keep most of the aphids at bay?

I do want to still be able to attract the hummingbirds though. Will the marigolds deter them?
