Anyone have a few Bedrosian chloe white subways laying around?

I would really like to see them in person, would pay for a couple of tiles + shipping. I really don't want a whole box to see if I like them. I tried ordering samples but they are just 2" x 2" squares, looking exactly the same, mounted on cardboard. I was so disgusted I tossed them in the trash.

Go to a good, local tile store. They may have samples.

Thanks, Chispa and Latfolia, but I'm in the Chicago area and they don't have any showrooms or distributers in the area. Actually, I missed the boat. At some point in time, Lowes carried the tile but it's out of stock now with no projections for arrival. So, I'm trying not to lock myself in to feeling like I have to have it. My designer found some larger tiles that have some color variation as the cloe does and the textured surface. Their samples they sell are 2x2 on a 4x4 card. I tried ordering 10 samples during a sale but they they all came in as exactly the same white piece. I was bummed. I've tried ebay and FB marketplace. Actually, someone in Wisconsin has a full box they are looking to sell but still a bit pricy for me wanting to see a sample. I'd even take broken pieces if I could just check out the color variations.

Latfolia, I've called 5 stores. We have an area here where a lot of tile and counter top fabricators all have their shops. They don't have it. This seems so weird. It's a pretty popular tile, yet it seems to not be distributed here.

Wal mart sells it online I think it might be currently out of stock. Do you live close to a floor and decor? They carry a zelgi tile thats close too, if not the same as chloe tile.

We are re-doing our upstairs. The contractor sent us to the local tile store he uses. We chose our shower tile because we liked the variation and it was relatively cheap.

Then I saw photos of chloe and realized that's what it is. The salesgirl said she could source it from several places. So it may be sold with no name or different names.

F&D has ZELLIGE PEARL opal polished ceramic tile 2.5 x 8. This looks pretty close online, I'll go get some tonight! Only at a store 30 mins away, but hey, that's better than hours. Thanks everybody =)

Yes thats it! I would have bought that one but chloe come back in stock at Wal mart a few months ago so I bought that instead.

Well, I picked up 10 tiles and I'm a little deflated. They don't seem as nice as the Bedrosian samples I tossed (when I was mad that they were only 2" square and all the same exact color). Sigh. Just feeling a little down right now.

@Becky H you are so lucky to have caught it at walmart.

I'm 5 minutes from a Bedrosian showroom and am happy to stop in and see if I can purchase a few. Would that help?

ok, first I want to say, I'm sorry and a little bit ashamed at how emotional I got over finding this tile. There are real world problems out there, and to think I let myself get so down because a tile didn't look like I expected it to. Thank you all for bearing with me on this.

@larkspurproject, you are SO KIND! I am going to take a breath here today. I have to work, then go to the lumber company to place an order for stair pieces (we are changing out our bannisters as part of doing our floors). I think the pressure of everything starting to come together for next month is adding to my stress. I'm going to try to draw up what some white picket tiles would look like under the cabinets. There are two that I find pleasing (it's not bedrosian cloe but hey, I think I've gotten ahold of myself on this one). @larkspurproject, I'm sending hugs your way. You made me wake up a little happier that there may be a way to see that tile yet!

Ms. Ann, thank you for your lovely post. No need to feel ashamed (emotion) about having emotions, last time I checked having emotions came with the breathing package. They come and go, but working on a remodeling project focuses attention in such a way as to guarantee strong emotional sweeps.

PS. I'm seeing Chloe or Chloe look-alikes everywhere on Houzz. It may be getting a leeetle bit overused. There are lots of tile companies that offer tiles with wide variation in one glaze profile, so you get a shaded effect. An actual tile store will have many examples. (I used three different off-white glaze shades from one company and laid them out randomly for my installer -- DH.)

@larkspurproject, your post was a day brightener, for sure.

@barncatz Thanks for the compassion. I think you have a brilliant idea there. =)

Other companies that make tiles that will have a nice range of variations, specially in the crackle colors, are:

    Fireclay

    Sonoma

    Encore

They are handmade, so prices will be higher, but might be worth checking out, specially if you aren't tiling a huge area.

I have 4x4 white Cloe tile leftover from our bathroom accent wall and am happy to send you a couple if you still need them. I think they are lovely and am planning to use the subway version in our kitchen now except for a small accent area.

@ Ms. Ann, no worries! Been there and absolutely done that. It's overwhelming while you're in the thick of it. My husband and I were ready to sell by the time the project was completed but no incarcerations and no divorce attorneys were incurred so it was an overall success. Hang in there and let me know if you want me to grab a few Cloe tiles and ship.

@barncatz, thank you! It's the little things, right?

@Kris Spike what a generous offer. See, there is still good energy in the world!
