Perhaps the curved wall can be a sitting space with 1-2 chairs and the wall across can be the staging area for housing the children's backpacks/jackets.

Unless you go for custom built, you may be trying to fit something onto a space that does not fit the way you would like. I might suggest going for seats instead of a bench, maybe with a round table. This way the kids can sit, take off their shoes while theuy put their bags down. I might suggest not making the table too large, or the bags might stay there. Make it a space where they take things off, not for them tp leave everything.

Thank you for the idea about settees with curves! I will look at them too since the whole time the keywords I’d been using were “entryway bench”.

If I were to go the table and chair(s) route, how big of a table can it be without it looking awkward? Is 24” diameter ok?

Update: So far I purchased a blue settee with curved arms from Houzz and a long (83”) black entryway table from Pottery Barn. I still am considering a small, round table to the side of the settee but will wait until I see the other furniture if I even need one.

I’ll post a photo when the furniture arrives.

Also still need a runner. Does it have to be the same pattern as the living room rug? Or at least match it somehow (color, style)?
