At last.

I don’t think a quilt has ever taken me this long to do. But energy and drive have been in low supply here lately. And I have pretty much forgotten how to sew.

This pattern called Twisted Posies is from a 2015 Fons and Porter magazine and has been in my ’to-do’ file ever since then. l like the top but I am not thrilled with my straight line quilting and the binding is a hot mess. But it is finished!

It starts out much like Delectable Mountains and goes from there.j

Now to find another easy pattern and do it in less than two months.

    I love it!

Your definition of ’Hot Mess’ is different from mine. It looks lovely from here.

Very nice, Theresa! It has a good balance of colors and the border and sashing set it off nicely.

Very nice job. I know what "hot mess" looks like and this ain't it.

The pattern looks like if was fun to piece. Usually hot messes look better after a good nights sleep.

I"m not sure I ever made a quilt that I didn't think was a hot mess. When I look at it later, it's not so bad.

It's a pretty quilt and I love the pattern. I have a jelly roll that I really like and that would be a perfect pattern for it. Thanks for sharing it.

Found the pattern and downloaded it. The jelly roll would be hard to use for that pattern. It would take some math to see if it would work. Good news is that it is only $3.95.

Bev, there is a you tube video called Super Fun Escalator Quilt by Sew Yeah which uses

2 1/2“ strips to create something similar. give it a look.

If that's a hot mess I've made a lot of them. I think it's a great quilt. Striking colors and nice pattern.

That’s a charming quilt, Theresa, and a great pattern too. No need for excuses of any kind. It’s bright and cheerful and very inspirational. I’d like to make one too.

Thanks so much for sharing your quilt. I love it. I also looked at the video you suggested. It's looks like it could be made to look somewhat like yours. Since I now have the pattern for your quilt, I think I will put it on my list for a scrappy quilt.

    Thanks again.

Bkay, where did you find the pattern for $3.95? I could only find it for $6.95.

Well, I got it here. Apparently, it was on sale last month. Maybe I need to check my paypal account.

Oh Theresa! LOL Hot mess? LOLOLOL How you sound. There ain't no part of that quilt that even resembles a hot mess. lol I think you did an excellent job in getting it done even if it did take you 2 months. Sometimes that's the way it is.
