I happen to love marble for counters but I also love the patina it gets . As for pics there is no way to know how your space will look by seeing someone elses space you have not chosen even a cabinet color or shared what the floor will be all these things need to work together You do not choose stone slabs from pictures and the best is to go the good stone yard where slabs are outside so you cn see them in natural light since IMO the lighting in your kitchen should be LED 4000K to mimic natural daylight . You choose your slabs take picsof them and have them tagged while you are there, Then the layout has to be decided too. another reason why seeing someone elses space is not helpful

I believe in most cases Simply White or Alabaster will look dingy next to the cool, almost blue white tones of carrarra marble. Take a look at Chantilly Lace if that's an option.

thanks @AGKY I have a North EaSt facing room so the warmth may be ok in the cabinets, but also afraid of how the light effects the marbke coloring.

I did SW Alabaster cabinets with marble (not carrara but a different variety with a white background) and it does look "dingy" (in a good way for me, I would describe it as a muted/dusky off-white) -- also affected by the brighter white walls in the kitchen. It's what I wanted but it's a real thing!

@roarah I have 6 year old polished cararra countertops and despite my best attempts, I have lot of etching, particularly around my sink and work areas. I don't see any etching in your picture. Do you use something to keep them looking so nice? Or have them professionally polished from time to time? I've been thinking about having someone come in to polish them. Thanks. Unfortunately I don't know the color of my cabinets to help with the question in the original post.

Is there anyway to send you them directly? It might sound weird on these forums where it's so common but I don't want to post pictures of my home online publicly.

I do have etches too they just all blend together now in most lighting but show more mid day in brighter sunlight.,
