Bathroom Vanity Size and other Bathroom Dilemmas

last modified: 3 years ago

You are all so helpful with tips and advice, I'm hoping you can help two newbie bathroom remodelers with some suggestions. We are remodeling our master bath due to a leak. Our current vanity is 96 inches. Should we keep that size or downsize. If so, do we leave a space between the wall and the vanity?

A few other details:

  • We will be replacing the current 90's jacuzzi tub with a free standing tub
  • We will replace the shower with tile and frameless glass. Same area.
  • We are removing the medicine cabinet, mirror, and bulkhead above the vanity.
  • We are replacing the sliding door to the shower with a pocket door (opening left) so we can hve wall space to hang our towels. Currently we do not have anywhere to hang towels when showering
  • We also are trying to figure out another issue. My husband uses the sink on the right which is infront of the door from the bedroom. We would like to either move his sink over a bit or possibly replace the door with a barn door??? Suggestions welcome :)
