My detached garage is getting a lot of water because my neighbor behind me graded his yard this past fall so that the water and snow melt goes down a slope in his yard and pools behind my garage and seeps in. i have an inch of water on my garage floor. i only have a foot of property behind my garage. what can I do to prevent the water from coming in my garage? would a pile of river rock along the foundation of my garage help? Also I was told a french drain would not work because my house is set back too far from the street. thanks!
