How do you get rid the weeds and keep them out?

    1) Good, rich soil for planting

    2) It's in the shade, not too many weeds

    3) By hand, every 3 or 4 weeks

    If you have a lot of ivy, briers and bamboo, you MUST get rid of them first. The bamboo is likely to be a real challenge and if the ivy is English ivy, that won't be easy either.
