Recao plant in ground declined and ultimatelly did not survive. This time I grew in pots, they do well. I let them seed, collected more than enough, many more remain. You give me the thought of trying the ground again by tossing these seeds to their autonomous fates in several spots. Surely many plants will grow; the unknown is whether any lasts long as it should. (If you would like seeds, then let me know.)

I grew a batch of mixed mild mustards from Pinetree this year and they did exceptionally well, but none had such large leaves. 1 Earthbox has been way more than enough for the 2 of us.

I like to let things like that go to seed too - and the buds are a tasty snack in the garden 🙂

Four I have never tried to grow recao I would love to try it.

Carol when I started with the mustards I started with five different types all planted in different spots so I could tell the difference and kept seeds that year and let some seed out. They came back the next fall and the next then one year they didn't come up when I thought they would and DG sent me some that I planted in my normal vegetable bed about 2 weeks after that they started to pop up all over my yard and those crossed with what DG sent me. After that I have them come up on there own. I get some much greens I don't know what to do with it all. I don't water or feed them in any way I just make a point not to mow them and let them go to seed. They will be better next year.

Four what time of rhe year are you growing your recao ? It would be awesome if I could get it to go wild like my mustard.

For wild you would want it in out-of-the-way spots that have overhead evergreen tree protection. (Same protection for potted.)
