Frameless glass shower with non-standard angles?

We are modifying our shower half-walls to allow a partially glass shower to be installed. The hinges (or pivots) will be on the left. To maximize use of our space and keep the shower maximally accessible we have a non-standard angle of 120-degrees on the left.

We have been hoping to avoid larger pieces of hardware (like a frame). Our glass shower designer has said our only option is to use pivots with a frame.

Is anyone familiar with hinges that allow for a non-standard angle? The wall hinge would be a standard 180-degrees. The glass to glass hinge above would need to be non-standard?

Ideally we were hoping for something like this (sorry for the poor drawing)...

There are designs with a pivot that do not use a frame like this...

My concern with this is venting. Are there longer ceiling clamps that hold the glass AND allow space for humid air to escape to our centrally mounted ceiling vent?

Does anyone have other ideas for how to keep this frameless (and allow for venting)?

Anything "out of the ordinary" is a real challenge in rural areas as no/few contractors have the necessary expertise. Even if you had the job completely spec'd out your local supplier is not capable of proper installation (as shown by his lack of knowledge). Keep this in mind for any future projects.

A local glass shop should be able to set you up with what you need for it to be frameless. And yes there are other support bars so the glass does not need to go to the ceiling for ventilation.

My local glass shop (our only option in a rural area) is saying that a frame is our only option. How would YOU suggest we set it up to be frameless? I'm hoping to present them with a plan to avoid a frame.

I've lived in major suburban areas most of my life and the photo you show of the angled frameless shower is a pretty standard installation. You might need to visit a glass shop in the nearest large city and be willing to pay them enough to make the drive out to your area. They would need to come out twice, first to measure and then do the installation.

To keep cost down and avoid ventilation issue, just stop the glass 10" from the ceiling ... or stop it at that grout line just above the shower head.

If you want the look of the side panels all the way to the ceiling, then I would just do a shorter door and tile the ceiling in the shower. You can use the same mosaic you use on the floor.

While it looks standard, with the angle at 120-degrees (instead of a standard 135) it's not standard... per our local supplier. That's why I'm looking for alternatives. I'm hoping for concrete suggestions from all of you to give to the local guy. I agree, I need to look into seeing if I can get someone from our nearest city to help us (the best is a 90 minute drive away).

Is there (generically) any problem having one hinge on a wall and the other on a piece of glass?
