Mine went in a month ago, and they are eight inches high now. It's been an unusually cool March, so things aren't going quite as fast. Of course, we'll be all done in July!

Y'all are way ahead of me. I just started my tomato seeds indoors this past week, but I did cheat and buy a couple of mature plants at the nursery. Will pamper these inside on cold days until they get planted outside around May 1st. Still way too cold here, a dip into the 20's expected in the coming days.

My tomato seeds have just broken dirt, so still to early for me. Right now outside is stuff like kale and spring onions under caps. I even brought in my lettuce barrel and put it in the porch on Thursday. We got a snow cold weekend going on, hopefully the last for this season.

I've tried starting from seed, and, for the most part forget about them for a day or 2 or go away for a week and they are fried!

Having halved my garden since we moved into town 5 years ago, we are a bit more picky about what we grow, and what we will actually use!

No chance here. Not even sown yet. I can’t set them out until the end of May. And they frequently fail even then.

Oh man - my fingers are crossed that the nights will stay below 75F long enough to get a harvest from the ones I planted last week. I have 5 plants from last fall that are loaded with green fruits right now, and was harvesting from them up until a couple of weeks ago when rats got to the ripe and unripe fruits.

Nothing we buy ever tastes as good as home grown.

I'll be starting my tomatoes in a few days which is the latest I have every started them before. I don't want them to get over 6" tall this year. I potted up half of my peppers to 3.5" pots yesterday and will do the rest this week sometime. My broccoli is a couple weeks from planting out.
