how to choose a terrazzo pattern

I am about to renovation my galley small kitchen. Just before I start renovation, I have decided to get rid of laminate flooring in the kitchen (it would be too matched with the cabinets and really boring. To order true terrazzo will take 3-4 months to get so I am deciding on terrazzo like porcelain tiles. My question should I try to find terrazzo colors that are in the kitchen or go opposite that the colors I get are not in the kitchen ?
