Most interior doors are 30”. Unless you have need for a wider opening, my recommendation is to stay with 30”.

32" is more common now, and lots of new construction will bump up to 36" if the house is big enough. I don't know that there is any downside to going with 32".

Without our input, the architect speced 32" for most doors in our current build, 36" for the laundry. And for the primary bedroom, 48"x96"--a luxury that we will forego.
