question will the speakers work? or are you just putting them in for lights?

Have you seen the light quality/pattern that those combo fixtures put out? I would want to see that before I made holes and put them up in my ceiling.

I have taken a look at the specs but you mean wire them up and just hold near one another?

the speaker style screw into any socket just screw them into a table lamp and shine them into a wall.

If the speakers work, I would put those in intentional spots. like over the sink for example. do have recessed in other rooms of the house, maybe you could swap two or 4 in the living room, still use the good deal but make it make sense?

Note that you designate one speaker as Master and others as Satellites. The Master connects to your phone (or computer, receiver, etc.) via Bluetooth so be sure the Master is near where you will put the device to which the Master will connect. You probably shouldn't put the Master and Satellites too far apart.

Lithonia makes a 6SL Companion which looks exactly like 6SL the Speaker-Light but is only a light. If you use those instead of the 4" wafers, all the fixtures will look the same. Both are available with various color temperatures which you'll want to match.

The speakers need to go where they provide balance of sound and I see no reason for that placement to need lighting at all. IMO 2 very different needs for the fixtures . BTW I do not like integrated LEDs

Why not? He's installing recessed lights in the pictured kitchen, wants some of them to be speaker-lights and others to be lights only. Speaker placement isn't critical; it's not high fidelity, it's not even stereo.
