I'm a little confused. I don't see any columns and I don't know how you are going to run gas lines anywhere. Can you be a little more clear? I definitely don't care for your over the garage fixtures as they point up and not down.

I think old English style lamp is suitable for your outdoor light, whether white or yellow one.

I could see a large wrought iron lantern hanging down from the ceiling of your entry (and secured from swinging), adding to your home’s beauty. You house does not speak “craftsman” to me…. I, instead, see a large Moustache Lantern in the blank white brick centered above the window on your left facade. And much larger black lanterns/down lights over your garage doors.

In addtion to the traditional fixtures mentioned, I suggest two minimal style up-and-down spotlights on the INSIDE of the columns. They would mount on the brick in the space between the door and window. The light would illuminate the inside of the arch, providing both practicality and drama at the entry.

I'm not an electrician but perhaps they could tap into the overhead fixture and run wiring down to the spots, and run off the same light switch-much easier than a gas line. I like your idea of gaslit lanterns, they don't provide much light but would be a pretty accent on the brick pedestals on each side of the stair landing. Or don't bother with a gas line and place candle lanterns there.

carriage style lanterns, bigger than you think they should be lol. change all . Im hoping you have checked into getting gas, the cost to run, the cost of the lantern, and militance.
