Entryway needs help - paint/decor

I've been trying to finish this entry for two years and am struggling. I am thinking to paint all four walls the dark color, so sort of 'envelop' you when you come into the house? We are replacing the chandelier (Stiffel Palias Champagne). Also needs a new rug and seating. I have two of these 'stools', as there isn't a complete wall to put anyting bigger on, but everything feels blah.

The dark paint color is SW Rock Bottom, which is the color of the kitchen island. The tall door in the background is currently dark, but is being replaced and I think will just be white. Am also planning on wallpaper the upper hallway you can see past the catwalk with something pretty, nothing picked yet.

Would love to hear your thoughts on painting the four walls of the 2 story entry and any decor ideas.

Thank you in advance!

Stacey

I like what you have there.

you didn't post a pic from the other direction, so, have no idea what the front door looks like?

do you have room for something like this?

    or what about this?

you don't have to do all four. leave what you have and do one other like this one w/the bench

    wall trim accent

or what if you did a cool wood slat accent, paired w/the black? I think that would look amazing.

(post a pic of the other angle, and looking down from above)

    Thank you!

Beth H - I'm including two additional photos below, one from the other side and one from the other side and above. I love a slat wall; I think the only wall to do that would proably be the one with the picture frames on it now? It's a nice, open entry, but choppy with it opening to 3 different rooms. Not much wall space; where I can reach at least.

Celery - That's amazing! I tried to 'photoshop' it w/out having phote shop and it wasn't much help :) This is very helpful, thank you!

I'm thinking changing to a black rug here, since all three rooms come together here?

    TIA!!

To me, It feels like that artwork is stuffed around the door when it looks to have enough wall space (its hard to tell with a fisheye lens) for maybe a piece of larger art or mirror.I love the color tho. It also looks like you could fit a console or bench (possibly with art or mirror over it) Is there enough room for a round table in the center for a tall airy arrangement?

M Riz - I was trying to get as much in the pic as I could. The walls measure 33 inches, so not much space for more than a side table or stools like this. It's a 10x10 space, I hadn't thought about an entry table in the middle; that might be a fun idea.

I love the darker color! I agree that the artwork seems smushed on the sides of the door and doesn't add much - I think focusing on getting some texture in the space would help. The light is great, I would be tempted to bring in a round table (if the scale is right) and get a fantastic black urn on it filled with orchids/moss
