I guess I'm looking for something deeper and more sink-in-comfort type ...... Something along the lines of a cloud with an ottoman. :-). I see that CB has many chairs and a half.... I would love a deep and wide chair, throw blanket, something that says ahhhhhhhhh!

Would you try centering your bed and nightstands on that wall? It just looks to me that the bed is jammed into that corner and would look more spacious if it is centered...

Emimat, I found this mini sofa on Shades Of Light website. Not sure if they are online only, or do they have brick and mortar stores?

It costs about twice as much as the Marcel from PB, but is quite a bit deeper, and has a higher back. It is 55" wide, same as the Marcel.

I really like the style of the couch. Keep that in mind when we get to my living room. It is pricey though!

Reading nooks in the bedroom are great. I don't know if I would put the chair where the dresser is now because it looks like too much sunlight could be an issue at times, especially if you do any reading on a tablet device.

Just checked out your headboard on WE. Looks nice almost thought it could work for my bedroom at a super duper great price but think it will be way too low.

I have nine foot ceilings and then a tray ceiling so it has some good height.

I came across this Marlo pillow (the aqua one) on PB site and thought of your bedroom. I pictured white bedding, sheets embroidered with a similar color, and a couple of these pillows (and a faux fur one in beige) to pop against the white.

Then I saw this pic showing it with one of their bedding patterns, and thought it looked just beautiful. So, I share it with you to ponder!

Maybe it's the lighting? The room seems a little dark. I would suggest a gorgeous pastel color with white trim to lighten up the space a bit! Also, avoid dark colored furnishings such as the dresser as it creates dark and uncomfortable looking corners!

emimat: Just wondering what paint color you used. It looks beautiful in the pictures, but I didn't notice anywhere in the thread where you mentioned the name. I'm sorry if I missed it. Your renovation looks wonderful!

Scootch: the color is Atmospheric AF 500 by Benjamin Moore. We used the Aura paint; matte finish. It is such a beautiful color and I love the Aura. Walls seem like they were made of the color. If that makes sense. It takes on different feeling in different light. I'm really into saturated wall color with white trim. I have paint left over that I'm thinking about using in the powder room downstairs. No windows there and I think it will be moody and cool. ;)

I picked the paint to match bedding that I liked --- but then I returned the bedding because I didn't like the texture! :) luckily I still love the wall color.

Now my profile shows a white hair lady whose lovely but not me. So funny.

I think I looked at Wedgewood gray at some point! It took me 13 samples on the wall. Atmospheric is saturated. It's relaxing and invigorating. :).

I love atmospheric -- the powder room and mud room in my cape are painted that color. I didn't spring for the aura because I wanted the more bullet - proof semigloss. The sheen changes the color a bit, but it has generated a bunch of compliments from visitors.

Lynne, does your powder room have windows? Curious how it looks in a bathroom. Any chance you have a pic? I might use up the extra paint I have in powder room. Currently it's orange! Needs to be in the blue spectrum. :)

Yes, the powder room has a window but it faces the woods, so it only gets filtered light. I will post a picture momentarily.

I started to laugh when you asked if I had a picture - we just staged the house for sale, so I have several hundred, which we winnowed down to 64. I used atmospheric in the powder room, in the mud room, and as an accent wall in the den.

Very strange - I made a post 15 hours ago, but Houzz seems to have ignored it. Probably because I posted a link to the pix of the entire house on another site betting with Z and ending with illow...

I am a little afraid that I updated the house too much for traditional New England tastes. Will post a thread when I log in next.

You could put two chairs with a small table between in front of window. Try roman shades on all windows. Yes paint, all the room a soft color get samples try in your light. Get furn incl dresser to match. A black wood might work. You didn't say look you are going for. Look at pictures on Houzz under bedrooms find one you like and copy it. Not that hard. Get big night stands and big base lamps for each side a lamp on table between chairs small. A tall padded headboard. In a dark gray. Bedding very important. You need a dust skirt. Bedding should be a print with wall color in it. 4 pillows, and toss pillows will give it a comfy look. A tall tree in doomer window. If wood on floor a big area rug half way under bed. In your colors. Pick color for walls then go from there. A master should be relaxing.

Not liking the paint job. Paint all the same. Just saw pic of dormer. Just put colorful pillows on seat and a couple in corners plus roman shades. Shades should be two shades darker than walls. A color called Sea Salts by Benjamin Moore . Us relaxing. Then use that color in bedding. Is there another place for dresser? Maybe closet? Remove clutter.

Can you envision a similar look to this room, with white bedding and pops of color from the shams and bolsters? The Atmospheric walls would really pop then.

I love how they have mixed up the blues in this room, with those lovely light blue lamps.
