I suspect you would like a period appropriate door handle. In case you wanted a fancy one, I am here to tell you to stay away from the Kevo lock, I have one and it is so damn glitchy I want to replace it.

I replaced the hardware on my exterior doors when I remodeled. My look was Arts & Crafts so I wanted hardware that reflected that.

On the advice of my designer I went with an Emtek as she said it was good quality and there was a design that worked really well. It wasn't inexpensive especially since I needed it to be "two tone" - i.e. brass on the exterior and oil rubbed bronze on the interior because I had to comply with my HOA restrictions on finishes on the exterior.

Emtek would be nice. My brother has their interior porcelain knobs--very high quality pieces.

Another vote for Emtek. We have oil rubbed bronze. Great quality.
