Where my dog had peed**

Dog urine is essentially just pure nitrogen so in effect your dog is fertilizing the lawn :-) Typically the urine is strong enough to 'burn' or cause the lawn to die off in those spots so consider yourself lucky!

Eventually the color will fade as the nitrogen is mineralized but you can avoid this - and any potential die off - by diluting the area with water as soon as the dog has relieved himself.

You're lucky to have a healthy soil underneath the turf. If the soil is not healthy, the grass dies. What kind of fertilizer are you using? When did you apply last?

It's not my lawn but I'd let the dog out so he/she can be a dog and do outdoor dog things.
