What do I do?

Could you screenshot and mark what is wrong. I could probably live with that, Id like to know what you think isnt right.

It doesn't look bad to me. I DIYed my first backsplash last year and all I could see were the tiny "flaws". Everywhere I went, I examined tile jobs in other places to compare to mine -- literally all of them had the same types of tiny flaws mine did. Tile is full of all kinds of tiny little imperfections around the edges, they're practically unavoidable.

High contrast grout is going to highlight those natural flaws. My advice is to live with the kitchen and see if you stop noticing. If you can't, have the grout recolored white.

As for the corner part -- it's not the most perfect cutting job, but it's honestly not that bad either. An appliance, knife rack or utensil jar will hide it.

It is slightly uneven at the top line in each picture. That's it. It's only noticeable because of the high-contrast grout, and I still had to spend some time staring to see it.

Looks good, that's how tile folds into the corner. That said, I think it's the dark grout in the corner that pulling your eye towards it. Once you put your "stuff" there it will disappear if not soften it with a color matched to the tile caulk.

Hi Paula- I agree with the other posts that this isn’t bad. I think the dark grout accentuates any little deviation perhaps. I’m a picky person and I could actually live with this. The unknowns of having someone re-do this and possibly damaging my counters or cabinets outweighs any possible small improvement.

The tikes are cut uneven. I paid for thos job, I didn't do it. You can see the difference in the pictures.

Looks fine. Maybe a tile has the 'warped' look... ok.

It's not the grout, both sides of the counter tiles are different even around the window. They did a great job with everything else. There are contractors that have guys strictly for tile just like flooring, painting etc. If I had tried to do it myself, I would expect the imperfections. I just wanted other opinions. I've even been waiting for a small door & drawer.  They are standard shaker and a few other contractors say they aren't waiting months for their orders or they wouldn't be in business or doing jobs. Thank you all for your opinions.

This all appears to be within normal tolerance and an acceptable tile installation.

It looks like they started in the corner and used full pieces and half pieces there. I think they were right to do this, even though the tiles at the ends of the countertops are not the same length. You would have noticed the uneven lines more in the corner than you do the opposite ends, especially with contrast grout.

It’s fine. Way better than most ”bad” tile posts. You need to find something that is actually wrong with something else. Like grammar. Nothing to see here.

I agree with Kristin, they made the right call.

I’m lost!

I kept scrolling through the photos expecting to find the bad one...no, the only bad thing was the choice of very dark grout with a light tile.

Paula, I love your backsplash, grout color and countertop. I'm sorry your job wasn't perfect but it really looks fabulous.

I am confused on what the problem is. It looks fine to me.

If you're not happy with it, put a fluffy green plant in the corner.

I think the problem is the grout, not the tile.

I expanded the photos on my phone, but could not find any problems. The backsplash is what dark grout does against white tile.

Looks like you selected a beautiful elegant stone for the counters, and now with the selection of a shiny tile and contrasting grout you have transferred all the attention to the ho-hum backsplash

It's an above-average installation, really.

You mention the window but don't show a full shot so we can see the issue in context - maybe that would help us see? What you've shown looks good to me. It appears the width on the sides of the window (assuming I'm interpreting the pictures correctly) are not the same - which means the tile widths/cuts can't be the same either. Your black grout accentuates that.
