counter stool to tie room together?

I'm looking for three counter stools to sit at a quasi-kitchen island between our dining room and kitchen. The previous owners had a farmhouse chic/Magnolia Home vibe throughout the house, which is visible in the kitchen. It's not really our style but it is tasteful and well-done so we're not looking to change it. (Plus, we don't have the time, money, or skill to invest in changing it.) That said, I'm trying to tie my furniture and the kitchen into a cohesive room.

I know it can be done but I'm just blanking on what style stool will look good with both our dining room table and the kitchen. I have scrolled through a bunch of stools and nothing has caught my eye. I also can't figure out what finish to go with since my table is dark wood and the kitchen countertop is Ikea butcher block. Suggestions welcome!!!

p.s. I prefer a stool with a back for comfort but I'm willing to go with whatever looks best. We're planning to replace the "island" countertop with neutral quartz in the next couple years so the current color isn't a big consideration.

I’d say there’s only room for two. Low back leather with black metal bases.

You need about 30" for each stool.

The peninsular looks small...measure carefully.

Looks to be counter height, so that’s a a 24-26 inch stool. I’d aim for stools with backs roughly the height of the counter so as not to block the kitchen view, and definitely not heavy looking like the chairs. Probably only two will fit without crowding the area. Fabric or wood or leather depends on expected wear.

What a nice home you have! I'd go with dark wood in leather or fabric upholstery. Also, I agree that two is the right number in your space.

I love the look of these seagrass ones. The woven color variations tie in with both rooms, the feel ties in (casual and traditional), and the curved tops repeat the curved dining table/chair legs.

I forgot to post these. Very similar to what I have in my house — darker legs, lighter fabric top, saddle style. They’re comfortable and have held up well. My area is small, and these fit well under the counter:

IMO the table works with thekitchen and before choosing one more thing get all the bulbs changed to LEDs 4000K right now all I see is yellow The sea grass is horrible to sit on if you have bare legs BTW. I like colored stools to add a bit of jazz to a space and what is your style since that table and chairs are pretty trditioanl and IMO too matchy but a hint as to the rest of the house could be helpful. I think getting a rug with some color then using a color from the rug for the drapes and the stools would be agood idea to tie the 2 spaces together so I would pick a rug and do that.
