What’s the room on the top floor of the tower? Could it stand to have slightly lower ceiling if it were exposed framing and tongue and groove wood roof deck? If so, suggest a hip roof much like what’s over the entry door. Also, I think it’d help to add horizontal trim to house at second floor line, paint first floor one color and second floor another color. The added color might help deemphasize the vertical “box-ness”
