Backsplash help!

I am having a white quartz countertop with grey veining put in but can't decide on gossy vs matte. Please help!

Glossy will be easier to clean… but I’m wondering… do you think the tiles are a bit small?

Glossy adds ”light” & also texture as a different surface finish than counter, cabs & probably the floor too.

Between the two finishes in your photo, my vote is for glossy but in a larger, rectangular size

I like your squares too! A bit different than the usual rectangular shape - which I do have & do like for my space.

Can you wait until your counter is installed? BTW, I have both matte and glossy backsplash tiles. Matte tiles are no harder to clean than gloss. They are not a different material, just a different look.
