Okay, so I'm trying dahlias for the first time this year. Wow so far it's been an interesting experience. I'll leave it at that. However, I forgot a tuber clump in the bag that I didn't notice til a few days after I planted the rest and of course was excited to have something else to fill another pot. Oh yeah I'm container gardening by the way. Anywho. Everyone started sprouting and I was almost amazed at how quickly and how large the stalk and leaves came in. Then a few days later my stragler sprouted. A few days later I noticed an abnormality in the leaves. All the others has separate leaves on a stem. Just like any other. This o e though the three separate leaves that I see on all the others was just melded into o e very large leaf at the end. The only thing I can think of to compare it to is 3 cookies on a tray that baked together cause there want enough room.
Can someone tell me what's up?? Any ideas? Like is this a regular occurrence, I hope? Lol
