No that’s a wonderful gesture. I’d write a heartfelt card, and always ask if you can write a review for him or the company. They always appreciate those! I wrote a long and specific one for my GC with lots of pictures, and he thanked me profusely.

we were told to send complements on the GC website and name a few names.. those folks would receive compensation that way . Project managers are motivated day to day and that is what they are supposed to do.... be on top of stuff....because if they finish quicker or on time the next job starts sooner .....there is always work waiting. I dont personally get the "tip" thing when he/she performed the requirements of their job. But hey why not?

We have always tipped our project managers and carpenters, usually to the tune of @ $500. But on our last remodel, we did tip one of the highly skilled and responsible youngsters $1000. He was fast, honest, and kept the ball rolling. As a result, he has come back over and over again to do middling projects for us at a time when skilled trademen are not even returning phone calls. Appreciation is always appreciated.

Great gesture. And the most valuable thing is his being able to brag to his boss that he got it, trust me.

It's refreshing to see comments on houzz.com reflecting a positive remodeling experience. If the experience exceeds your expectations, you have a great team on the project--from the remodeler to his/her employees to his/her trade partners. A note or online review of the remodeler would be great. A tip for the on-site project manager would be great, too.
