This is not specifically an answer, but an observation. Many of us have noted that heucheras tend to look good for a couple of years, then slowly decline and fade away.

Taking that into consideration as well as the increasing cost of shipment, you may wish to simply take what you can get locally, whether it be a heuchera or not.

Thy aren't offering the specific kind you are looking for, but have a couple other brighter varieties. They also offer a good selection of hostas. If you don't already have some brighter hostas planned, I would highly recommend planning some in.

In addition to them being a pretty shortlived perennial (3-4 years under the best of conditions unless routinely divided), most of the newer and popularly colored heuchera hybrids will peter out rapidly in any kind of heat and humidity. For Southern gardeners, you should focus only on Heuchera villosa hybrids, as these have the best track record for dealing with your heat and summer humidity. Still not gonna hang around for long :-)

What about something like Aralia 'Sun King'? A big, bold, golden shade lover that doesn't care about heat or humidity and is a glowing beacon in a shady location.

What!! That's horrible news, my coral bells have become my favorite plants in all of my gardens!

Luckily, @gardengal48 (PNW Z8/9), I can divide them pretty easily since I have tons of room for them. At the very least I can put divisions in less conspicuous places as a sort of holding spot for when the mothers start to die away. Am I reading correctly that this would extend the lifespan to something near forever?

I'm probably gonna put in a yellow Japanese Maple between the two rhododendron in the Fall, so that'll help brighten it up. But after everything stops blooming (June-ish) it's just dark and green for the rest of the year! That's why I was thinking coral bells, to bring some color to the front; in front of the azaleas and near the hostas.

The Aralia does look gorgeous! But maybe a little too big at 3' tall?

I have a bajillion hostas around, but none yellow. Maybe I should look in to that better... I don't love the idea since I have so many other ones, but at least I know it will do well.

I have some native Missouri heucheras in my garden that I planted last year. They are light colored & seem to be very vigorous. You could check with a North Carolina native nursery
