Clean your house from top to bottom on a regular basis, keep dirty clothes cleaned, do not cook strong odor foods, use vent-a-hood when cooking. Do not use strong spices. Open windows for fresh air, keep trash containers empty & clean.

And no pets!

I get up early and use my whole house attic fan, it brings in cool fresh air. When my husband cooks fish, I use the range hood fan and Lysol spray. People have stinky pets, aromatic foods and that’s just life. My sense of smell is very acute and it drives my husband mad because he doesn’t smell what I do. 😂

Why wouldn't you? Don't most people? We always flush after using.

Clean fresh air-open the windows. At least in summer. Winter it smells as it is. I don't like candles, oils or sprays. Soap and water works wonders.

Another help is to not eat gassy foods.

You can try an HVAC odor block, or if you want to spend some money I have the HALO-LED whole home in-duct air purifier. I did it right when Covid started and I do think it helps keep the air smelling better.

You would be surprised how many people do not flush the toilet after each use. They think it saves water and money. This is true with many older folks.
