That awning needs to be gone so do the sutters and IMO a nice front porch would be a huge asset. .As for color blue would be nice with crisp white trim and then really great cottage type landscping

I'd wait on the painting until the awning and stoop are improved upon.

Get that right, then choose the paint color.

the look may depend on what style the overhang and railings go. (I'd increase the size of the landing... composite maerial?) . Do you need sun protection or just a pergola style, natural wood, painted, ??? Look for front stoop inspiration photos

we do not need sun protection and were actually thinking of putting in a natural wood pergola that extends from the front porch over to left corner of the house. we also wanted to put in pavers where the left-side garden bed is (as that is something we are comfortable doing ourselves). Whatever we decide will need to be a budget option as our funds have gone towards updating the interior of the home.

I think it’s fun to look to the past for inspiration.

What year is your house? You could do a search of the year + exterior colors.

I agree with removing the shutters. Love the blues from houssan…with white trim.

I like the blues also, or if you like gray, that would look good with a bright blue or red front door - or bright yellow if you want something more dramatic.
