No kidding? the others definitely do not have the white streaks like these do.

The ones in more shade are also a much cooler purple.

One pair also blooms in clusters and the others do not

granted all 5 are young own roots in challenging conditions

The plants in the first two photos don't seem to have the same kinds of leaves as the plants in the last two photos. With just a quick look, the plants in your last two photos have leaves similar to those shown in HMF photos ('Veilchenblau') and also to the plant I have; the others not so much.

I think you have some mislabels Jc.

2nd set definitely Veilchenblau going by HMF description of white stripes and detailed leaf pics in older photo entries. The leaves are so distinctive.

Mine is from High Country Roses, Alana. It is a healthy beautiful plant but I'm not seeing the white and the foliage may not be right.

It is supposed to be Veilchenblau.

To my eye Sheila it looks like Alice vena, but they don't carry that one. Maybe a hybrid china, or something, but from the picture, it looks like a long cane. I wonder what it is, must be a climber, with that cane. Is it thornless? Looks low thorn from picture.

I don't remember selling you five Veilchenblau plants...I remember selling you two but I could be wrong. I don't grow that pink one. Perhaps you ordered some from High Country and forgot? Seems possible if Sheila ordered Veilchenblau from them and got this pink one. That's good you like it but I don't think it came from me.

The Anne Belovich book sounds like Donau is as good or better than V so I'm happy.

i was able to find a receipt from highcountryroses showing i bought veilchenblau from them, also in 2019.
