Not even sure this is possible. Had a plumber come out due to air in the water lines. He replaced the well pump, wiring, and well pipe. Cost about $1600. It lasted about a week and then more air in the lines, have them come back and they said now it was the pressure tank, which we questioned and got a second opinion. New plumber pulled the well pump, and both the pump and check valve is bad. New plumber is replacing well pump, and fixing the original problem (which was a bad O-ring in the pitless adapter). Cost for them to fix it will be about $2000.

I'd like to request a partial refund from the original plumber, but I'm not sure how to go about asking for one, and what monetary amount I should request. I do still have the bad well pump, so I can give it back to them. Should I ask for the well pump cost and labor, or just the pump cost?
