Maruba Jade in a new pot!

My brother in law gifted me this sturdy bonsai pot, and I decided to use it for my Maruba.

2019: three years ago, I moved the Maruba into this shiny black bonsai pot, and it grew very well. However, after three years, it was completely rootbound and growth had begun to stall.

So this is the pot I decided to move it into for the next 2 - 3 years, depending upon how much it grows.

Now, a little recuperation in the greenhouse, a top-dressing of Osmocote Plus, and then back out into the sun.

The mix is fir bark, potting mix, coarse perlite (#3), and a generous amount of lava rock (Scoria).

That’s a beautiful jade plant! i recently bought a jade about a month ago, my first one, it’s doing well.

I do love a nice bonsai planter. I have an obscene collection of them because I can't pass one up if I'm at a garage sale and they are going for next to nothing. A lot of people have no idea how much they cost brand new.

Josh, funny how our relatives know just we like.Ha. Either plants or a nice looking pot to put them into.

Looking mighty fine. I know what you mean about when they stop growing. I have the same to do to a few of mine. Sometimes I am so afraid for them to get any bigger not having much room, I deliberately let them stay in tight shoes.lol

Yep! I just pruned my Red Horn Tree on the sides because it had gotten too wide for its space!
