Are all the discolored or dried leaves clustered together on the same stem or branch? Might it have been broken or damaged?

The issue looks too localized to be pathogenic....or even cultural.

Unfortunately they are spread around the tree. I’m afraid I haven’t been giving it enough water. I hope it will recover.

Insufficient watering is one of the easiest things to recover from.....as long as you don't let it go too far.
