    The countertop is called Silver Macaubus and it is a Quartzite.

    Any natural stone would make a beautiful counter. My only concern would be having guests leaning on the overhang…
    Be sure that there is some support for the counter or select a thicker slab so it doesn’t crack.

    Felizlady, quartzite is an extremely strong material so no need to worry about that. On my own island I have a 14 inch overhang with no problems. It is a good idea, however, to make sure your cabinet installer gives you a little extra support for the weight of the stone.
