I’d hang white black-out curtains so you have privacy/darkness/sound muffling when closed and as light and bright as possible when they are opened. The current furnishings are so neutral, you can go in any direction with carpeting/pillows.

Both white and grey curtains will go well with your room. But I personally prefer the white one, it will brighten up the room. If you do a blue curtain, I think you should pick some blue pieces that would be better.
