Anyone growing zucchini/summer squash vertically? Spacing?

I am going to try to grow several types of zucchini and want to manage them vertically tied to stakes..

Seems more orderly that way and space saving.


About how far apart all around would you space the plants when grown vertically? Some types grow very big bushes. Do you adjust the spacing for the type of squash, ie its mature size?


Have you found growing them vertically a better way to have zucchini and other summer squash in your garden?
