Not a designer but I’d line it up with the window if it were my house and get my dream round table. I’ve never had the right place for one.

IMO you need to take a fresh look at the space housing a table. That rectangular table just doesn't work. The bay is too large of an architectural element for you to ignore.

Any layout requires a fixture to be centered on the bay window.

I think we need to know a bit more about the size of that bumpout since thetable you show does not allow for seating on some sides IMO remove the bay and then place the table where it works best for seating. No do not choose lighting placement before getting table .You can how ever place a light in that bay if it must stay but I need to know the size of the space and waht you did the odd shaped island
