Need Cabinet Hardware help!

We are in the process of remodeling our kitchen. The drawing below represents my outside wall run of cabinets. Cabinets are a shaker style and there is a farmhouse sink (so no drawers under the sink). My original thought was to put pulls on all of the drawers and knobs on the cabinets but the trash pullout (next to the sink) has me rethinking things.

I feel like the trash pullout needs a horizontal handle which leads me to a couple questions

can/should I still keep the other cabinets knobs? or also make them pulls?
The cabinets are shaker - I'd prefer to put the pull on the trash pullout on the frame of the door but does that change where I place the pulls on the other drawers? I had planned to put them in the center of the drawers.

Note: on the 36" drawer stack and the large drawer under the stove I plan to use a single long pull (not two shorter ones).

Any advice would be welcome!

Pulls on everything, and btw......use a long pull on drawers and center .....yes.

Mainly because I really loved both and couldn't decide, I have knobs on uppers, which are doors, and pulls on most drawers (including my trash and under sink, which are also pullouts - and I highly recommend them, they're much more functional than doors!).

I did put knobs on the couple of short drawers I have, since they don't have a panel (versus the taller drawers do) and it helped pull the hardware together. I also have a pull on our pantry cabinet drawer for function's sake, since it's a 60" door.

I have all pulls on my cabinets - horizontal except for under the sink and the cookie sheet pullout - I think it looks just fine! I personally am not a fan of knobs though…

I had my kitchen renovated a few years ago. I have Shaker style cabinetry and chose simple 5.5” pulls by Top Knobs for my hardware; I love their look and function. Family and friends told me not to use knobs, as clothing can get caught on them. Choosing hardware for your cabinetry, is like choosing jewely for an outfit. It is a personal choice. There is no right or wrong choice. Choose what looks and feels best to you! Best of luck on your journey. Please post pictures when your kitchen is completed.

I would do what JAN MOYER says. I did a quick Google search for a garbage pullout with a drawer above and the centred pulls are what I liked best. You can do a similar search to see if you like something better.

Do not use 2 pulls on a drwaer that will always require you to use 2 hands to open a drawer I have all drawers for my base cabinets all with bar pulls but I do pulls to be in proprtion to the cabinet or drawer and sometimes I even have vertical and horizontal ones .

It's true that there is no right or wrong. I used pulls on the drawers and knobs on the doors, but I also used pulls on the dishwasher panel and garbage pullout. Contrary to what the majority recommends, I used two pulls on each 36" drawer below the range top, and they work just fine. No one is going to report you to the hardware police if you mix and match, just do what works best for you.
