Use led tape lights, they will be completely hidden by your light rail and provide more even lighting

Led tape lights are hard wired, or do you mean they have roughed in line voltage at each light location? Regardless the wire could be popped up into the back of the cabinet and the transformer installed, its smaller than a stick of butter. What fixtures had you planned for?

Yes, they have roughed in line voltage at each light location. I know about tape lights but we must do a regular fixture. I just wanted thoughts on finish color based on the colors in my kitche. Thanks though.

It doesn't matter if they won't be seen. (I don't know what color my UC light fixtures are.) If your UC lights will be seen, you should fix that.

Are the undersides of your cabinets even finished? Many aren't. I'd try to match that, whatever it is. The lights will work best mounted towards the front of the cabinets. They should match the cabinets more than the backsplash...

White reflects light, black absorbs it.
